Prevent Detect Escape – Home Fire Safety for people at higher risk – Frequently Asked Questions

Prevent Detect Escape: Home Fire Safety for people at higher risk focuses on three key areas:

  • Prevent – reducing the chance of a fire starting
  • Detect – the importance of having working smoke alarms
  • Escape – making a plan that suits the individual

CFA CEO Natalie MacDonald and Fire Rescue Commissioner Ken Block launched the new module in June 2022 at an online event attended by over 150 people (if you missed it, you can catch it here).

We have now put together a kit to help you share far and wide and promote the Fire Ready for Community Service Providers resources.

The Promotional Kit includes:

  • Prevent Detect Escape e-learning module Marketing Content
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Short promotional videos (links below)
  • Social media tiles
  • Smoke alarm animations (links below)

The Marketing Content attachment includes an article which you can tailor to your organisation for use in your newsletters or emails explaining the project and describing the available resources, as well as a social media post.

Lived-experience promotional videos (link to YouTube):
